Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)

Altaris professionals have experience working on VPP sites. Altaris can assist your organization with the application to OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). An assessment of your facility is conducted to verify the presence of the 19 required elements to achieve VPP status. A closing conference is conducted and a detailed report including a gap analysis of areas that need improvement.

Safety Program Development

Altaris's Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) can partner with your organization to develop required written health and safety programs. Our occupational health and safety professionals can help customize a program for you that it is practical and cost-effective for your organization and that meets the requirements of local, state and federal regulatory agencies. The development of a documented and effectively implemented health and safety program is critical to the success your safety program. OSHA requires such a program for many organizations; for others it may be part of the overall management system to protect employees from workplace related injuries and illnesses, to reduce the costs associated with those injuries and illnesses and to improve employee morale and productivity.

OSHA Compliance Inspection and Audit

A representative from Altaris will visit your site and conduct a full-scale, OSHA-like focused inspection. The purpose of these inspections and audits are to identify areas of non-compliance along with identifying gaps in your company's safety programs. An independent safety audit often uncovers hazards and other items that your company would never have noticed until an actual OSHA inspection occurred or an employee was seriously or fatally injured.

Our OSHA-like inspection and audit will be tailored to your specific job-site. We will evaluate the type of work you perform and assess for non-compliance issues. A full written report will be issued accompanied by pictures. Utilizing these services, many of our customers have requested our inspection services periodically in an effort to ensure compliance with OHSA and to protect their employees.

Site Specific Safety Plans

Altaris can provide site-specific safety plans for work on government contracts. Most government subcontractor work requires the submittal of a site-specific safety plan along with your organization's OSHA 300 Log for the last three years. Altaris can provide the site-specific safety plan and assist your company in providing the correct OSHA 300 Log information.

Accident Investigations

Altaris can assist with investigations of work site accidents to determine root causes and implement procedures to mitigate future hazards. The cost of an accident is too expensive to have it occur again and let alone no one wants to be injured. Altaris will determine the root cause and provide corrective actions to assist you with accident prevention implementation.
